Siamese cats were first officially exported from Thailand, or, as it was known then, Siam, in the late 1800s. Even though this felines originated from there, they are now referred to as wichien-maat (which means "moon diamond") in Thailand.
Everything about these cats, aside from their coat, is long — they have a long head, neck, body, legs and tail. Many consider this cat breed to be a living work of art.
Siamese are well known for their pale cream coat color with dark chocolate points and tanzanite blue eyes, although they also come in blue, seal, flame, and lilac points.
Siamese cats are also very well known for their voice. They will speak to you like no other breed. It is also possible to train a Siamese, as they are highly intelligent and can learn quite easily. They can fetch and retrieve and even do tricks!
